Classification
IGT (Typical Geographical Indication) red Colli del Limbara.

Place of origin
The countryside round Luras, erect shrub cultivation, yield 60-80 quintals per hectare.

Soil
Granite soils of limited depth, rich in skeleton consisting of coarse granite weathering sand, loose, acid, poor in nutrients, very low water retention.

Grape Varieties
Nebbiolo 90%, Sangiovese and Carigagiola 10%.

Climate
Mediterranean, average rainfall rates in Spring and Autumn, long, hot and windy summers, considerable temperature excursions.

Harvesting
Traditional, by hand.

Vinification Technique
Classic red, pomace maceration for 5-6 days.

Aging
In the cellar, 5-8 months.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Intense ruby red, clear.

Nose: Big, lingering, vinous bouquet, fragrant, hints of small ripe fruits.

Palate: Dry, round, mellow, well structured, good balance of acids and tannins, long finish in the nose and on the palate

Storage
Constant temperature 16 °C, humidity 75%, controlled light, horizontal bottle.


Serving
Medium tall goblet without flared rim, serving temperature 16 °C, uncork at least 30 minutes before serving.

Matchings
Tasty first courses with meat sauces, red and white meats, grilled or roasted, mutton and pork stews or roasts, mild PDO Sardinian Pecorino cheese.
